The Pre-Professional Program is widely known and attracts applicants with varied talents and exceptional backgrounds, experiences and education. A good Pre-Pro experience can provide participants with valuable industry experience and contacts. Due to the high demand for these positions, Mills James employs a rigorous selection process, and holds Pre-Pro participants to the same high standards as the company’s employees.
To apply for the Pre-Pro Program, candidates should send:
- A cover letter explaining career goals, listing up to three areas of interest, and noting what they hope to obtain from, and contribute to, Mills James.
- A resume, including current home address and phone number, and a copy of their diploma.
- A minimum of three references, with at least one reference being employment related. Include references’ names and current phone numbers. Letters of recommendation, accompanied with phone numbers for verification purposes, will be accepted in lieu of phone references.

Pre-Professional Does Not Equal A Contract
At the sole discretion of Mills James Production, Pre-Pros demonstrating outstanding skills and qualities may be offered the opportunity to continue in the Program for an additional six months. Pre-Pros’ length of service will not, however, extend beyond one year.
The provisions of the Pre-Professional Program do not constitute an employment contract, or other form of legal contract. Mills James may, at any time, unilaterally change the program.
The Pre-Professional Program does not guarantee employment for the Pre-Pro, or in any way restrict the rights of Mills James Productions to terminate employment at any time, with or without cause.
The relationship established between Mills James Productions and the Associates in this Program is “at will.” Accordingly, either party can terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause.
Pre-Pros are, however, encouraged to remain in the Program for at least six months to enhance their development and their potential to seize future opportunities in the creative media production industry.
