Mills James has an immediate opening for a full-time studio audio engineer. Our engineers work with the technical aspects of sound during the processes of recording, mixing, and reproduction. We prefer a self-starter with a friendly “proud-to" attitude and enough experience in post-production to hit the ground running. We want the kind of engineer who our clients request by name and build lasting relationships.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of audio education and experience
Three to five years post-production audio experience, engineering client-supervised sessions within a production facility
Skilled in mix-to-picture and sound design and extensive knowledge of major music and sound effects libraries are required
Extraordinary client Interaction skills and very strong attention to the details
High level of organizational skills
Must be Pro Tools proficient
Able to manage flexible work hours

Set up, maintain, and test sound equipment before recordings
Engineer recordings, mixing, and reproduction with or without clients present in studio
Work with video editors to synchronize video with audio tracks
Create and maintain sound libraries
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to handle constantly changing priorities
Able to exhibit enthusiasm and inspire creativity and collaboration within the team
