Av Meeting & EVent Production Technical Manager [BOSTON]

The AV production technical manager with Mills James works with corporate clients [on-site] to plan and execute flawless, technical live meetings and events.

This position works on-site at a corporate headquarters in Boston, MA to partner with the Executive Communications and other functions and brand categories to produce live AV meetings and events within the corporate global office enterprise. The candidate must be very skilled and knowledgeable with the latest in AV and IT live meeting technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and at least four years in the meeting and event business, or audio and video rental field

  • Experience with Cisco WebEx + Telepresence, as well as web streaming, preferred

  • A basic understanding of information technology network infrastructure, IP addressing, and bandwidth requirements as well as extensive knowledge of broadcast video resolutions, computer resolutions, and all AV signal types and cables [SDI, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, XLR, TRS, Edison, Stage pin, DMX, CAT5, etc.]

  • Experience with Blackmagic ATEM video switchers and equipment and switching multicamera live events/IMAG is preferred.

  • Ability to create and manage a budget and production schedules for clients, and manage a crew of individual techs to set up and operate a corporate event or meeting

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate, professional environment, being proactive and working on tight deadlines

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and work with high-level corporate executives in a respectful, professional manner

  • Must learn and become adept at using Mills James Media Pulse facilities management software

  • Valid driver’s license required; may be required to obtain US Passport, if necessary. Must be available for some travel and work flexible hours per client meetings

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with team members and colleagues effectively on video productions in both studio and field productions

  • Must understand basic audio PA, able to wire ins and outs on a digital mixer, set gain stages and able to tune/operate Shure wireless microphones

  • Basic understanding of three-point lighting as well as lighting for corporate stage

  • Must be a self-starter, understanding and meeting all deadlines with a sense of urgency and work well under pressure

  • Works as part of the creative production team, working jobs ranging from small one camera teleprompter studio executive recordings to field location shoots and documenting keynote speakers and Q&A in large Events.

  • Archives final presentation materials within the video library and provide to producers or clients as requested

  • Possessing a high degree of adaptability to continually changing and faced-paced environments
