Broadcast Engineer [Cleveland]
Mills James is hiring a full-time broadcast engineer to join the Cleveland production team. The Cleveland broadcast facility provides live-shot studio services to broadcast and cable networks. These services can occur at almost any time during a day. The successful broadcast engineer is a self-starter and has the ability to make good use of all “down-time.” Qualified candidates must be comfortable working on a team to produce high quality broadcasts.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or five years’ practical experience working in the broadcast industry as an engineer
Experience operating production switchers, character generators, robotic cameras and audio consoles
Comfortable troubleshooting systems and repairing at the board level
Advanced understanding of IT infrastructures in a facility
Strong communications and organizational skills, and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects in required
Must learn and become adept at using Mills James’ Media Pulse Enterprise facilities management software
Valid driver’s license required

Working closely with external and internal clients on a daily basis
Directing, technical directing, camera operation and floor directing in both a control room and studio environments
Audio mixing in a control room and studio environments
Possessing a high degree of adaptability to continually changing environment
