Broadcast Engineer [Cleveland]

Mills James is hiring a full-time broadcast engineer to join the Cleveland production team. The Cleveland broadcast facility provides live-shot studio services to broadcast and cable networks. These services can occur at almost any time during a day. The successful broadcast engineer is a self-starter and has the ability to make good use of all “down-time.” Qualified candidates must be comfortable working on a team to produce high quality broadcasts.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or five years’ practical experience working in the broadcast industry as an engineer

  • Experience operating production switchers, character generators, robotic cameras and audio consoles

  • Comfortable troubleshooting systems and repairing at the board level

  • Advanced understanding of IT infrastructures in a facility

  • Strong communications and organizational skills, and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects in required

  • Must learn and become adept at using Mills James’ Media Pulse Enterprise facilities management software

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Working closely with external and internal clients on a daily basis

  • Directing, technical directing, camera operation and floor directing in both a control room and studio environments

  • Audio mixing in a control room and studio environments

  • Possessing a high degree of adaptability to continually changing environment
