Mills James is seeking a dynamic full-time Audiovisual Technician to join our growing AV team. This position’s primary responsibilities are to delivery, set-up, operation and strike audio visual equipment at live meetings and events.
This position is based in Columbus, Ohio.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for the management of daily setup and strike of the AV equipment for live shows, meetings and events; Pick up and deliver AV rental equipment as needed
- Performs warehouse operations duties including: checking in and out of audio-visual equipment, loading equipment into vehicles, QC’ing equipment and performing basic maintenance on AV equipment, (i.e., fixing cables, soldering connectors)
- Maintains the warehouse as a clean and safe working environment; follow all safety guidelines
- Communicates equipment maintenance needs to the Mills James Warehouse Logistics Manager
- Collaborates on and completes projects on warehouse “Maintenance” and “Projects” lists or other tasks assigned by Logistics Manager
REQUIREMENTS

- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in an extraordinary service environment
- Possess basic knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and computers for meeting and event purposes
- Understanding signal flow is a key requirement; computer IT or video conferencing experience is a plus
- Proven excellent client service skills, strong communication, and organizational skills — both oral and written
- Exceptional attention to the details and good troubleshooting skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and able to drive box trucks and cargo vans
- Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
