Video and Event Producer

Mills James is looking for a Video and Event Producer to join our highly collaborative Cincinnati team in a fast-paced video production and virtual/live event environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Video and Event Producer will manage projects that exceed the client’s expectations while maintaining the highest professional standards. The individual is responsible for understanding the client’s messaging, ROI, and managing all facets of productions. This role is responsible for performing assigned productions and events on time and on budget. The candidate must be an organized and creative thinker who is highly productive.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty and other duties that may be assigned. If you do not possess all these abilities on the job training is possible.

VIDEO PRODUCER ROLE
  • Manage scripts, storyboards, deadlines, and edit sessions
  • Develop and manage budgets
  • Collaborate closely with the internal team and facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Plan video shoots, scout locations, select and reserve shoot locations either live or virtually
  • Develop production schedules
  • Manage the client’s expectations, communication, and relationships
  • Schedule, manage, direct, and negotiate resources, including both internal and independent contractors
  • Work effectively as a self-starter in an unsupervised environment

 

LIVE AND VIRTUAL EVENT PRODUCER ROLE
  • Basic understanding of live and virtual events is preferred, but the willingness to learn event production is acceptable
  • Collaborate with Production Managers and the Director of Cincinnati Operations to create event estimates for project scope, schedule, and resource requirements
  • Lead a collaborative team that meets and exceeds clients’ expectations profitably within budget
  • Create the event production paperwork, technical script, cue sheet, rundown, and specialist details
  • Provide show calling on-site throughout event production; television or video directing experience is a plus
  • Provide post-event support including PPT management and requested client deliverables
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables
  • Possess strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Maintain a big picture view of your role in the growth and success of Mills James
  • The ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
  • Have a high degree of adaptability in a continually changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • 40 hours per week; must be available to work flexible hours as needed
  • Valid driver’s license required
