Creative Vice President – Mills James Experience Group
We’re seeking a dynamic Vice President to lead our Mills James Experience Group (MJx) – the heart of our meetings and events division. If you’re an experienced leader with a flair for creativity and an eye for detail, we want you on our team!
This position is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the department, driving growth, innovation, and building client loyalty.
- Oversee the production of corporate meetings and events, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effective resource management.
- Participate in company strategy, goal-setting, policy-making, and senior staff meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Develop and nurture client relationships, working closely with other departments, account services team, and key stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities, develop proposals, monitor market trends, and competitor activity, providing feedback to the leadership team.
- Ensure exceptional client experiences, adherence to company policies, and a positive work environment.
- Manage HR policies regarding recruiting, training, performance management, employee relations, and compensation programs.
- Maintain industry connections, participate in professional associations, and represent the company effectively in key client meetings.

Requirements:
Listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in BA, Marketing, or Communications.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in live events, technical, administrative, sales, management, and leadership roles, preferably in an executive capacity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in representing organizations externally.
- Prior experience promoting a culture of innovation, evaluating strategies, and identifying areas for improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong network of industry connections for new business and market expansion.
- Experience in revenue generation, sales growth, profitability, cost of sale, and market penetration.
- Familiarity with current industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics.
