Event staged by Mills James recognized with ISES Ohio WOW award

An event Mills James staged with Kingham Signature Events was honored as Best Non-Profit Event by the ISES Ohio WOW Awards. The event, the 2014 American Red Cross Humanitarian of the Year Awards, won in the category for budgets $85K – $150K and was held on June 7, 2014. The ISES Ohio WOW Awards recognizes accomplishments by event producers working with major non-profit organizations in Ohio. The award was presented to Kingham Signature Events by the International Special Event Society Ohio Chapters at the Ivory Room at Miranova on Friday, April 17, in Columbus.

Mills James supported the Red Cross with all the technology to stage the Humanitarian of the Year Awards including high definition video, projection, scenic, rigging and audio reinforcement. Mills James provided a portion of its services at no charge as an in-kind donation to the Red Cross.

Trace Kingham, founder and chief experience officer, and his team have produced the American Red Cross Humanitarian of the Year event since 2003. The Humanitarian of the Year award, presented annually by the American Red Cross, recognizes local individuals or groups whose efforts and accomplishments have made our community a better place to live and work. The event also serves as an important source of revenue for local Red Cross, with funds generated by the luncheon supporting the life-saving services and programs of the organization.
