Audiovisual BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL

Mills James has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a business development professional focusing on audiovisual sales. This full-time associate will prospect and develop audiovisual rentals and have a working knowledge of small-event audiovisual support services and technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and three years of related experience in AV meeting support sales and service

  • Strong industry connections and the respect of industry peers

  • Proven strategic and innovative thinking with significant oral and written communication skills; Superior presentation skills

  • A strong self-starter who can work autonomously, with proven success in building new business; Excellent customer skills and consultative sales approach

  • Strong client communication and organizational skills and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple proposals

  • Lead the proposal process; proven successful experience writing and coordinating proposals

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Contact current and prospective clients through cold calling and networking opportunities

  • Work with clients to understand and identify  needs and objectives

  • Propose, present, and demonstrate solutions for prospective clients and projects

  • Possess and develop audiovisual product knowledge for meetings and events

  • Manage a prospect database

  • Report all sales related activity during weekly sales meetings and HubSpot

  • Build a calendar of events for the Columbus market

  • Develop solid relationships with customers, strategic vendors, and peers

  • Navigate bidding processes

  • Learn internal tracking, billing software and processes

  • Handle other tasks as necessary in support of Mills James
