Colin is a true master of his craft. Brands and agencies can relax and know they’re going to love the final product when he’s behind the camera.

In today’s budget-centric world, more clients are looking for the efficiencies of shooting video and stills together in the same session. But finding a high-end still photographer who can also work with video crews on the same set is rare.

Exception: Colin McGuire. He understands how to deliver his signature look alongside video people working their own craft.

Creative directors and production designers love working with Colin. His fun-loving shooting style belies the richly authentic, emotion-filled images he produces—photographs that seem to glow with an inner light.

WHAT COLIN SAYS ABOUT COLIN

Recently I showed my portfolio to an experienced Creative Director. We laughed and joked; we clicked right away. As he started scrolling through my work, a serious look crossed his face, and he asked, “Was this shot by you?”

It’s a funny question for a photographer, but it’s something I hear a lot. The reason: I’m a bit of a slapstick and somewhat-brash Irishman with mutton chop sideburns. I love sci-fi movies, fast cars, good tequila, and bad jokes. However, behind my light-hearted façade is a conscious mind and detailed eye that’s obsessed with creating idealized scenes and capturing them in a natural, authentic way—emotion-filled moments with a soft, authentic mood.

Why do these aspirational images come from a fun-loving guy like me? I have no idea. I just know that I absolutely love taking pictures. Especially those that show life as it is–only better.
