WareHouse technician —
Pre-professional

Mills James is seeking warehouse technicians to join our growing live events team. We need two Warehouse Technicians to participate in our warehouse operations and activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A basic knowledge of audio, video, lighting and computers for meeting/event purposes.

  • Good communication and organizational skills with supervisors and co-workers.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and good troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with warehousing practices and methods is a plus.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and ability to drive box trucks and cargo vans.

  • Must be available to work early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.

  • Candidates should have a minimum of one-year experience in a warehouse environment.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.

  • Performing warehouse inventory controls and keeping quality standards high.

  • Keeping a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.

  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.

  • Responsible for the management of daily setup and strike of the AV equipment.

  • Perform basic maintenance on AV equipment and maintain appropriate inventory.

  • Communicates equipment maintenance needs to the Mills James warehouse Logistics Manager.


The Pre-Professional Program

Mills James Pre-Professional [Pre-Pro] Program is an intensive training program for college graduates and individuals who have trained at specialized schools for careers in the creative media production industry. The Pre-Pro Program attracts applicants with varied talents and exceptional backgrounds, experiences and education. A good Pre-Pro experience can provide participants with valuable industry experience and contacts. Due to the high demand for these positions, Mills James employs a rigorous selection process, and holds Pre-Pro participants to the same high standards as the company’s associates. Pre-Pros work 40+ hours per week during their six-month “audition.” While Pre-Pros’ skill sets need not cover the full range that would be required for full-time associates, candidates must display a strong willingness to learn and show initiative to get the most out of their experience.
