Rigging Coordinator | Hospitality

Mills James is seeking a skilled Rigger to manage and facilitate the rigging needs of a hotel and conference center in Tampa, Florida. The Rigger will work directly with customers, providing sales quotes and time estimates for rigging jobs. The rigger’s day-to-day responsibilities will involve securing equipment and truss in accordance with relevant laws, directing and overseeing other operators, performing equipment installation, and completing final assembly and testing of all equipment.

This full-time-position is based on site in Tampa, Florida.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty and other duties that may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

  • Works with lifts, motors and come along’s to help secure both small and large truss, signage and supporting cabling.
  • Ensures safety at the property – equipment is not damaged and individuals are not hurt.]
  • Directs the operators of the rigging equipment, reporting any issues, and documenting completed work orders.
  • Ensures set-up, tear-down, cleaning, and storage of any rigging equipment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years’ stage production rigging experience.
  • Trained in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
  • Must be a certified rigger.
  • Must be able to read and make CAD drawings.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid Driver’s license.
